VIDEO: Clean and low-carbon mobility: Perspectives from British and German Cities

Watch back on our event with the German Embassy in UK

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung London and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in the United Kingdom organised a webinar on the topic of clean and low-carbon mobility in cities, looking at Manchester and Hamburg as case studies.

We discussed pathways for a just and socially responsible mobility transition. Action at city level is needed to reduce vehicle emissions and increase sustainable transport offers. We looked at examples and best practices from Manchester and Hamburg for clean and low-carbon mobility and addressing the following questions: How can a participatory and consultative approach increase the success of local actions? What are the costs and benefits of a sustainable transition of the transport sector in cities?
