"The Politics of Migration: Where next for progressive immigration policies?"

This event will be an opportunity to take stock of how the Brexit vote has affected the politics of immigration in the UK. It will seek to explore the potential risks and opportunities of Labour's new strategy on immigration as set out in recent policy statements. It will also help set out what a progressive, post-Brexit immigration system should set out to do to ensure that it can command public confidence, cater for the needs of the UK economy, promotes social integration and guarantees that migrants are treated humanely.

This will be an off the record session with relevant stakeholders and speakers including policy-makers, academics, civil society representatives and other key experts.
