British-German Dialogue on Defence and Security Policies

The British-German dialogue convened representatives from the House of Commons, the German Bundestag, and think tanks from the UK and Germany to discuss current challenges for European Security and Defence.

The German Federal Ministry of Defence recently started the second phase for a new White Paper as a strategic vision for German Security and Defence Policy, following its public consultation phase. In the UK, the government published its Strategic Defence and Security Review earlier in November 2015. Both strategy papers will have significant impact on both the UK and Germany, but also Europe more generally.
